Long Drive
I starve for a long drive,
To feel the wind in my hair.
To escape the mundane and arrive
Somewhere beyond my daily lair.
The open road calls my name,
Its endless path is a tempting sight.
My soul yearns for a new game,
To shed the chains of routine's blight.
I long to cruise through the night,
With no destination in mind.
To let the world be my guide,
And leave my worries behind.
The engine's roar is music to my ears,
As I press the pedal to the floor.
My heart sings with joy and cheers,
As I embrace freedom once more.
I starve for a long drive,
To taste the thrill of the unknown.
To let my spirit come alive,
And reclaim a life I've outgrown.
So I picked up my car keys and
left home alone.
